Kate Saul, LAc

​Kate is the owner and founder of Acusport Therapeutics. Additionally, she is a part of the sports medicine team for Nike's professional track athletes and is proud to also partner with the Bowerman Elite Track Club. She specializes in assisting individuals dealing with recurring and acute pain conditions, post-surgery rehabilitation, athletic training recovery, and supports mobility throughout all stages of life.

Her treatments utilize Sports Medicine Acupuncture, dry needling techniques, electric stimulation, cupping, and gua sha.
Kate received her Master's degree between NYC and Portland, Oregon where her research focused on neuroscience and its application to acupuncture for chronic pain treatment. Her post-graduate training was with the Sports Medicine Acupuncture program, the most intensive orthopedic certification offered to acupuncturists. Her continual study of the nervous system, pain science, and the integration of acupuncture enables Kate to provide informed education to her patients about their conditions and treatment options.

Dr. Olivia Rivera, LAc, DAOM

Olivia holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland. Her introduction to acupuncture came from her own journey as a collegiate ice hockey player dealing with a persistent shoulder injury. After surgery and extensive rehab failed to fully restore her mobility, Olivia turned to acupuncture, experiencing a transformation that sparked her dedication to the field.

With over ten years of experience in fitness and Olympic weightlifting, Olivia combines her knowledge of sports medicine and body mechanics to deliver comprehensive care.
Her approach draws from both traditional acupuncture practices and advanced techniques, including dry needling, electroacupuncture, cupping, and gua sha. She is passionate about helping her patients find relief from pain and optimize their movement, bringing a balanced blend of expertise and empathy to every session.
Kyzen Pemberton, LMT​

Kyzen is a massage therapist dedicated to providing personalized care to her clients. She seeks to help her clients ground, connect with their nervous system, recover from injury, and feel at ease in their bodies. She offers massage on a floor mat, integrating elements of traditional Thai massage with myofascial, Swedish, and deep-tissue techniques. Each massage session will be thoughtfully tailored to you and your specific needs and situation.

As a second-generation massage therapist, Kyzen grew up learning massage from her mother, who instilled in her a profound respect for the healing power of touch. She completed her formal massage education at East West College of the Healing Arts, and studied Thai Massage with the Living Sabai School of Thai Massage. She enjoys refining her skills and expanding her knowledge with every massage she gives.
Helen Philpot, LMT​
​
Helen Philpot, LMT is a graduate of East West College and has been practicing massage since 2022. She spent ten years in the accounting field before pursuing massage for a more active, healing environment. Helen is also an instructor at East West College, where she teaches Kinesiology and Western Bodywork.
She specializes in deep tissue, myofascial, injury care, and sports massage. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer, cycling, rock climbing, or attempting whatever sport has caught her interest that week.
Victoria Koopman​

Victoria is Acusport's virtual admin, here to assist with insurance verification and insurance questions. Victoria has worked alongside Kate Saul in the wellness field since 2019.
Victoria comes to Acusport Therapeutics with her B.S. in Marketing and Management from the University of Portland and holds four yoga certifications as a 200hr E-RYT:

Strength training, good nutrition, sleep, hydration, and daily movement are the foundation - learning how to incorporate these practices into your life and what brings you joy is how you create results that last a lifetime.
